Fear… most negative emotions begin here. It drains our energy, it robs us of our enjoyment, it suffocates our dreams.
As parents, we are all too often sucked into the vortex of fear. It seems that with the awakening idea of a better world and a better future many parents are afraid to get it wrong. The problem with this, though, is that a better world and better future is not going to result from fear. A better future for our children can only come from LOVE. All positive emotions come from love.
Fear stops us from feeling and enjoying being parents. It fogs our vision and clouds our judgement. Anxiety is not going to help our children build loving and trusting relationships. Stress is not the path to true happiness.
How can we move past this fear in a society that is driven by stress and anxiety and pressure? Breathe. Take time to breathe deeply and connect with the happiness that you seek. Turn off the critical voice in your head for a few minutes each day, to listen to what is really important for you and your family.
I help mothers to remember what makes them feel joyous. I help mothers to re-evaluate their fears. Women that find balance between their own needs and the many demands of mothering can reach a place of calm in the eye (the center) of any storm. A place of calm in the cyclone of fear. That place is pure LOVE and from this place we can parent our children without feeling drained and exhausted. I wish this for every mother.
